Basic Hardware Requirements: The program should run on any computer (Windows, Mac and most others) that have graphical Internet browsers. You need a sound card with speakers or headphones to be able to listen to the narration. You also need a graphics card capable of displaying at least 256 colors (most computers sold since about 1997 should have both). Playback is a processor-demanding event; for best results, avoid running other programs while you play this presentation.
Download Speed: The presentation is a narrated & animated multimedia program. To keep the file size as small as possible, we have compressed the audio to a minimum acceptable level of sound quality, but the whole show will still download slowly if you have a non-broadband, dial-up (56K or slower) connection. We've optimized the show to begin before it has completed the process, but there may be some delays with slow connections while the audio & video of each segment pre-loads while you are watching another segment. Those using broadband connections should see the presentation begin soon after clicking the launch button. Those with slower connections will need to be patient.
